The clear source is embodied with spirit,
the axis is wide and the energy lively,
everything apparent in the original brightness.

Free and easy Wandering: Markings on the Way

the play of vast and giddy consciousness

My work strives for evidence of nondual reality by way of the meditative language and symbol of the rational and mystical intellect. As such, it aims for a multifaceted, temporal and dynamic view of reality’s ambiguous aspects of delusion and enlightenment.  These aspects find succinct nondual expression in the series and book, Free and Easy Wandering: Markings on the Way, as well as in innovative spiritual and abstract landscapes that bring into full relief the realization of nonduality as a present, tantric actuality and not a future possibility.

Thirty years of the painting experience, along with spiritual practice guided by enlightened wisdom teachers from diverse spiritual traditions, constitute my attempt to realize the intimacy of duality (differentiation) and nonduality (equality) as the time-being, in and through emptiness as mediator.

Through vigilant brush strokes of equality and differentiation, the interpenetrating dynamicity of chaos and order is discriminated for balance in the painting process.
